About the Principal
I migrated to Australia as a refugee with my family from Sudan in 1995. Since then, I have been able to pursue a career in the legal industry and particularly in migration law due to my own experiences as a refugee.
For over 10 years, I have had the opportunity to work closely with senior principals, senior partners, and lawyers as well as migration agents. Through these experiences, I have been able to successfully initiate and manage the immigration arm of law firms. I was also able to achieve this goal by reaching out to numerous communities through community leaders whom I had built long-term relationships with and continue to do so.
I have also worked in other areas of law including criminal law where I appear in the Magistrates’ court for numerous clients who have been charged by the Victoria Police. Additionally, I have worked alongside a senior partner in family law assisting clients with parenting orders as well as divorce applications. Finally, I can also advise clients regarding fines and infringements as well as tenancy matters.
From these experiences working across the legal industry, I founded Emigration Services where I mainly assist migrant communities with their visa matters both inside and outside Australia. I also help clients with criminal matters such as driving whilst suspended, excessive driving, and many other matters.
My passion lies in helping clients with their tenancy matters and I enjoy assisting renters in resolving their disputes with their rental providers.
Outside work, I am heavily involved within my own community, particularly my church, where I serve as one of the leaders at St Bishoy and St Shenouda’s Coptic Orthodox Church in Bulleen. I have also been involved with the Victorian Multicultural Commission’s (VMC) Regional Advisory Council for the Eastern Metropolitan Region from 2017-2022.
I enjoy meeting new people and learning about different cultures and traditions. I am an avid sports fan and passionately support several teams including Collingwood, Arsenal, and the Los Angeles Lakers.
